The Technology Alignment Manager serves as Omni’s “eyes and ears” with assigned managed service clients, enabling our vCIOs/advisors to deliver high-level strategic counsel and recommendations. In addition, he/she is responsible for supporting and/or resolving help desk tickets and contributing to technical service projects as assigned. Services are delivered both on-site and virtually depending on the task or issue at hand.

IT Specialist –P/T
The City of Wheeling seeks a part-time IT specialist. IT Specialist provides technical support, maintains computer systems, troubleshoots hardware and software issues, configures and stages devices (workstations, phones, tablets, printers, cameras, etc.). Key responsibilities include assisting the director by supporting users with problems, installing updates, maintaining network infrastructure, and ensuring the smooth and secure operation of IT systems, often with tasks such as network analysis, documentation, drawings, system upkeep, and data security.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and effective communication with both technical and non-technical staff. Responsibilities Provide technical support to users by troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues via phone, email, or in-person. Install, configure, maintain, and support mobile and desktop hardware and software, computer systems, phones, cameras, networking equipment, and peripherals. Manage and maintain user accounts and email systems. Ensure all systems are running smoothly and efficiently by performing regular checks and maintenance. Implement and maintain security measures, including monitoring security certificates and ensuring compliance. Install necessary software and hardware updates. Document technical procedures, issues, and solutions. Assist with Mobile Device Management Assess and report on the status of the company's information systems, identifying potential gaps or needs. Skills and qualifications Proficiency with operating systems (Windows and macOS), hardware, and common software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.). Experience with networking principles (LAN/WAN) and potentially cloud platforms is beneficial. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical problems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and document issues accurately. Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and work independently. Ability to work well with colleagues and provide excellent customer service.
